That’s exactly what happened on December 2 when Jamie Lee Curtis stopped by the Today show to chat about her upcoming film, Ella McCay. The Halloween legend wasn’t expecting to turn the tables on the man who interviews everybody. Yet she spotted something small, shiny and interesting. His earring.
In a TikTok clip already making the rounds, Jamie leaned forward with that classic curiosity: “What’s the blue dot in your ear? Tell me the story.” Craig didn’t dodge. He explained he got the piercing because his daughter Sybil, who he shares with wife, Lindsay Czarniak, got nervous when she wanted hers done. So he made a dad decision. Not always the smartest. Definitely the sweetest. “In a moment of haste, I was like, ‘If I do it, will you do it?’ She’s like, ‘Yes!’ And I got it. That’s why I have it.”
Jamie’s face changed instantly. You could almost see her heart melt in real time. Then she delivered the kind of compliment that hits like a warm hug. “Oh, come on! That’s gorgeous! It’s a beautiful thing you did that, and I love that you keep it … I’m glad you were able to say ‘No, this is important to me. This is my connection to my daughter.’”
