Over the last few years, Sydney Sweeney and her body have been a hot topic of discussion for audiences and brands. Many have unfairly claimed that her appearance and her body are the main reasons why Hollywood is obsessed with her. But Sweeney recently revealed that she never did feel comfortable about her body. Not until Euphoria.
The 28-year-old star recently opened up about the long road to feeling comfortable in her own skin. “I grew up with b***s. I was wearing a 32DD in sixth grade, and I never felt confident,” Sweeney told Us Weekly. “I never had anything I felt good in, and I just wanted to hide.”
Sweeney remembers constantly thinking, “Oh, this fit doesn’t work. I don’t have the support I want. The straps are digging into my shoulders, or it’s kind of itchy and riding up.”
Her character on HBO’s Euphoria changed her views on her own appearance years later. Playing Cassie Howard helped the young actress to finally confront the one thing she spent years avoiding: being visible.

Unlike her own at the time, her character’s wardrobe on the show was all about confidence, and, apparently, that really clicked for Sweeney and changed the way she looked at herself. “It wasn’t until [I played] Cassie in Euphoria that I started realizing it’s actually powerful to be confident; our bodies are incredible. We should embrace [them] and feel really good in our skin.”
In January 2026, Sweeney launched SYRN, her own lingerie brand. According to reports, the actress spent months collecting inspiration from different sources and then building a Pinterest board with thousands of images before actually making the designs real.
“I want to see it on everybody,” she told Cosmopolitan, making it clear the goal wasn’t exclusivity. She wanted to give everyone options… as much options as possible.
SYRN sold out quickly after launch.

Of course, fame comes with strange moments, too. Like when X CEO Elon Musk decided to comment on her chest after the Los Angeles premiere of The Housemaid. The 54-year-old billionaire posted an AI pic suggesting large breasts probably equal back pain. The internet wasn’t happy.
For Sweeney, though, those sorts of comments aren’t new. She even addressed speculation earlier this year during a Vanity Fair lie detector segment with Seyfried, confirming her chest is natural.
Still, people talk.
