We live in an exciting time when art is reaching new heights, and worlds like fashion and fine avant-garde art are colliding at an ever-increasing pace. @str4ngething on Instagram is heading the charge, creating a collection of footwear that is inspired by architecture and renaissance-tier sculpture, bringing this epic collision to a head. Without further ado, let’s look at this beautiful footwear collection.
Renaissance-Inspired Architecture and Sculpted Avant-Garde Footwear
@str4ngething created this stunning collection of sneakers as part of their “journey” into a world where Renaissance-inspired architecture and art meet avant-garde footwear.
The stunning collection makes you wonder what the possibilities could be when unique ideas, innovative designs, and untapped creativity come together. We no longer need to wonder because we have a fantastic example right here.
“Each creation in this collection embodies the harmonious fusion of classical architectural elements and contemporary style, resulting in a captivating and truly one-of-a-kind artistic expression.”

The Footwear Collection
Starting out the collection, we have a stunning pair of combat boots with a standard combat-style sole that moves up into sculpted chains, and moulded filigree, all of which move up into a stunning scene of a couple of people in a Renaissance-era city. The tongue of the boot sports magnificent architecture with columns and statues that look like they stepped out of an old museum or temple.
Next up, we see a fabulous high-heeled ankle boot. Starting at the heel, we see what looks like a stunning bridge arch, moving up to a mixture of Renaissance-era architecture, gothic motifs, and vague steam-punk nature. Everything cascades down the arch of the heel like it would in a city on a steep hill.
One of the more simple pieces in the collection, the loafers are stunning and artistic, and their simplicity in no way detracts from their wonder. The sides of the loafers look like the marble sculptures on the walls of a Grecian temple or in the ruins of an old Roman bathhouse. Even the trim has intricate etching, and no element is out of place.
One of the collection’s highlights is the “special edition” boot, which is relatively plain except for illuminating detail. The combat-style sole is repeated here, with intricate vines decorating the sole. At the same time, the upper of the boot is almost entirely untouched, save for an LED “candle” nestled inside that lights up a brighter part of the ankle.

The high heels look like something that has stepped out of a royal Renaissance palace on the feet of a princess. While the entire shoe is intricate, the focal point is the sculpted lion’s head that rises from the heel, with a cascading mane design that looks so soft you would hardly think it is inspired by marble. The design continues, sloping down the shoe, complementing the arch of the heel.
The sneakers are the most stunning and arguably most intricate piece in the collection. A platform outsole provides plenty of space for in-set designs like the hallways of a museum, which moves up into stunning architecture of arched walls, marble pillars, and many, many intricate artworks. Again, looking like a Renaissance museum or mansion mixed with a Grecian temple and the Roman palace of every period drama, they are, without a doubt, beautiful.
